Nireekshe School for Special Children is an open school and daycare center for special children with learning disabilities. Established in 2006 under the Kripanidhi Trust, Nireekshe provides education and life skills to children with special needs. The school offers opportunities for the children to appear in the 10th and 12th standard examinations through the National Institute of Open Schooling (English Medium) and Karnataka Open Schooling (Kannada Medium). The school currently supports over 40 students, many of whom come from poor socioeconomic backgrounds. 

Our Activities

Nireekshe provides various programs and skills, including academic skills, play & learning activities, learning by doing, and pre-vocational training. Nireekshe regularly organizes therapies such as speech, play, yoga, dance, and meditation throughout the year for the development of the children.

Despite its noble cause, Nireekshe faces several challenges. Many parents struggle to afford the basic fees needed to run the school. The institution currently operates from a rental establishment, which presents various constraints. Additionally, the lack of transportation options for students makes it difficult for parents to send their children to school regularly. Funding is primarily sourced from donations by trustees, but additional support is crucial to maintain and enhance the services Nireekshe is able to provide.
